I have two stories. One concerns my very elderly mother-in-law visiting from Canada. She became very unwell whilst she was staying with us - a repeat of a serious stomach ulcer. She was treated at PRH with great care and respect - she could have died! She couldn't believe how kind everyone was and what wonderful treatment she received in a British hospital. She had nothing but praise for the NHS and couldn't believe that she felt she received great value for money. She was anxious that she'd have to give away her life's savings to pay for her treatment. I was treated for breast cancer 5 years ago. Sadly it has reoccurred but from the experience I had, I go into this surgery and treatment with trust and confidence. I had what I thought was a hip problem, but thanks to the wonderful Musco Skeletal Service I received a different diagnosis of tendonopathy. The specialist there worked very hard to decide which treatment path to take. He never hurries, always takes his time to explain everything thoroughly, and although we haven't got to the bottom of it yet, I have been amazed and delighted with the personal treatment by him and by his expert physiotherapists.
