Fourteen years ago I suffered a major heart attack and it was only the quick actions of PRH which saved my life, that and the subsequent bypass at Stoke. Last year I spent a LOT of time taking a friend to The Lingen Davies Centre at the RSH for Radio and then Chemo Therapy. Our journey times varied from a minimum of 52 minutes to 108 minutes excluding the 2.5 hour journey when there was a multiple accident on the extension to the M54. It would have been a lot different if the RSH was located on the east side of Shrewsbury but at the end of our 20 mile trek getting from one side of Shrewsbury to the other is a nightmare and definitely life threatening . I would not be here now if we had to travel to the far side of Shrewsbury 14 years ago.
